Join jumpstART - Meeting 13 Oct @ 5:30

[Copied from their invitational e-mail.]

An Invitiation to Young Professionals to Join
Culture Works Associate Board & jumpstART

Culture Works is currently seeking interested 20- and 30-somethings to participate as members of its Associate Board. The CW Associate Board is a group of Dayton area young professionals working to advance engagement for the next generation of arts patrons.

Responsibilities and Time Commitment: The Associate Board is responsible for outreach and advocacy in promoting jumpstART. JumpstART is the activity arm of the Associate Board and hosts monthly "jumps" highlighting affordable and accessible arts events for young professionals in a social setting. The Steering Committe will handle the planning of the events, but Associate Board members will be asked to promote these events within their network and attend events when possible. There is no membership fee or donation requirement, but monthly events may occasionally include ticket costs.

Benefits: The Associate Board meets only quarterly and there is a minimal time commitment. However, participants expand their network greatly and become more aware of the varied arts in the region. Culture Works is a highly respected organization; its Board of Directors consists of leaders from major business, educational, and community institutions. In addition to developing a definable Dayton culture and contributing greatly to the economic viability of the region, the arts provide a great atmosphere for meeting new people from both social and professional realms. Last, but not least, Associate Board members enjoy great discounts on local arts and have fun.

Get Involved: The Associate Board is hosting an open meeting on Wednesday, October 13 in the Culture Works offices (located in the Metropolitan Arts Center at 126 N. Main Street, Dayton) at 5:30 PM. Anyone who is interested in learning more about this opportunity is invited to come. We'll have light food and drinks as we get to know one another a bit and learn more about the organization. Please call Claire at 937-222-ARTS or send an e-mail
to RSVP.

Next Meeting: Wednesday, October 13, 5:30 p.m.
