Updayton Candidates Forum - 1 Oct 2009 @ 1800

This is forwarded from Lilah Findley; this seems like an AWESOME project. I especially like the realization that all residents of the Dayton area have a stake in what happens in Dayton proper. The Dayton Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) is much larger than the city limits - and all the parts of that MSA effect one another.

Over the past year it’s been the mission of updayton to give young creatives a louder voice in our region. On October 1st, 6pm at c{space (20 N Jefferson) young creatives will have the chance to talk to Dayton’s leaders directly at our first-ever updayton Candidates Forum. See the flyer at www.updayton.com.

At the Young Creatives Summit you told us about the importance of a strong urban core – so on October 1st we’ll welcome the candidates for Dayton Mayor and the City Commission to talk about issues important to our demographic. All are welcome to attend, whether you’re a City of Dayton resident or not. We all have a stake in the future of our center city. Learn more about the event and submit a question for the candidates at http://tinyurl.com/lfv9ed. Please RSVP to me at Generated by TxtNinja.com. Let’s build a crowd and show Dayton’s leadership that we care about the direction of our city.

In the mean time, check out the September updayton newsletter at http://tinyurl.com/ltb7md
